Motherhood and Letting Go

My parenting days started 21 years ago, so with my youngest nearly 16, I am at the other end of parenting. The end that declares I am no longer needed in their everyday life, no longer needed to do those mundane parenting jobs that consumed my life for so many years, no longer needed to tuck them in to bed, help them with their homework, put a plaster on their grazed knee, and no longer am I their confidant on all matters small and big.continue reading…
